Bokashi originates for Japan and allows your to compost 100% of all kitchen waste. When you add kitchen waste to your bin you add a handfull of bokashi to the bin, which is a bran based material or micro organisms that quickly break the material down.
The ideal use of Bokashi is to use it too kick start your traditional composter, by adding the material that has been broken down by bokashi to a normal compost bin.
However, there are also Bokashi compost bins available that allow you to drain the compost out in liquid form that can then used to water your plants providing a fantastic (and free) plant feeder.
