Rotavators and cultivators are fairly heavy duty and only really required if you have a large plot to cultivate.
There are many makes and designs, and you really need to decide what you are going to use them for before making your choice.
For example, the manits tiller is an excellent tool for creating seed beds, however turning over a full size allotment plot would take several days with this tool so you would probably want a larger machine for this type of work.
There are other variable to consider for example most cultivators are petrol, but there are electric variants, these are usually cheaper, but obviously less mobile, you also have the issue of them potentially not having the same power as their petrol equivalents.
